Here are two easy Twitter tips that you can use to increase the engagement of prospective customers who are reading your tips.
1. Use words that sell and avoid words that un-sell. In the English language there are 30 words that sell and 24 words that un-sell. We’ll cover all of those in detail in a later post. For right now, it’s important that you remember to avoid these “5-Deadly Words” at all costs. Never use them. They’ve been beat to death in the past by thousands of other companies and as a result, these words have no positive meaning and will NOT help grow your business or attract new customers or followers. The words are: Service – Value – Quality – Caring – Integrity.
They’re a waste of space! My favorite word to NOT use is Integrity! Think about it, if someone has to tell you they’re honest or have integrity, it generally means they’re not honest or have any integrity. If you have integrity, it’s self evident. It does not need to be advertised or promoted.
Use your 140 characters to include a benefit such as “saving time or making money”.
2. Include photos or videos in your Tweets. Twitter conducted a survey and discovered that photos can boost Re-Tweets by 35% and Videos can boost Re-Tweets by as much as 28%.
Keep in mind that how you add them to your Tweets is as important as adding them in the first place. Twitter has a great photo “expand” feature which makes the photo larger when you click on it. However, this expand feature only works if you Tweet using the Twitter app itself or from a website.
Hopefully these easy Twitter tips will help grow your followers as well as customer engagement and conversions.
